NBA reflects collective commitment to advanced legal profession — President-elect

President-Elect of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mazi Afam Osigwe (SAN), has described the 2024 NBA Annual General Conference as a gathering that reflects our collective commitment to the advancement of our profession and our nation.

In a statement issued to newsmen recently in Lagos, The new President reminded the lawyers of the pivotal role they play in shaping the future of the nation.

According to him, challenges before them are immense, as well as the opportunities to make positive change.

Afam noted that the theme of this year’s conference is not just a call to action but a reflection of collective responsibility to contribute to the rebuilding and rejuvenation of Nigeria.

He gave assurances of engaging in insightful discussions, ideas sharing and collaboration on strategies that will drive the Nigerian Bar forward.

”I welcome you all to the 2024 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association, a gathering that reflects our collective commitment to the advancement of our profession and our nation.

“This year, we convene under the theme, “Pressing Forward: A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria.”

“As we embark on this crucial conference, we are reminded of the pivotal role we, as legal professionals, play in shaping the future of our nation.

“The challenges before us are immense, but so too are the opportunities to make lasting, positive change. The theme of this year’s conference is not just a call to action but a reflection of our collective responsibility to contribute to the rebuilding and rejuvenation of our country.

“In the coming days, we will engage in insightful discussions, share ideas, and collaborate on strategies that will drive the Nigerian Bar forward.

“Our goal is clear: to build a unified, strong, and proactive Bar that not only addresses the current challenges but also anticipates future ones, delivering solutions that benefit all members of our esteemed profession and the broader society.

“I wish you a conference filled with rich insight, fruitful discussions, and collaborative initiatives that will leave an enduring impact on the legal community and the nation at large. Together, we will press forward, laying the foundation for a brighter, more just, and prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
