THE Nigerian Navy has approved the promotion of 73 senior officers to various higher ranks
The Nigerian Navy spokesman, Commodore Christian Ezekobe, is among the 15 officers promoted the rank of rear admiral.
The promotions released by the navy board includes 15 rear admirals, 39 commodores and 19 captains.
The 15 commodores promoted to rank of rear admiral are P.A. Onaji, M.A. Emuekpere, A.B. Lawal, T.T. Dakwat, S.M.D. Usman, M.C. Okonkwo, F.O. Isaac, S.A. Adebari, O.H. Ngalabak, A.B. Adamu, O.B. Daji and C.O.R. Ezekobe.
Other commodores also elevated to rank of rear admiral are F.F. Ogu, A.Z. Gambo and L.M. Adams.
The 39 Captains promoted to the rank of Commodore are B.M. Idris, I. Dam, A.S. Embuka, M.J.I. Onwuegbu, A.O. Adepegba, A.A. Adesope, A.S. Olanrewaju, F.O.Y. Sanusi, G.S. Dogo, S.C. Okeke and I. Zelani.
Other captains also promoted are M.R. Balarabe, D.D. Dangwel, H.G. Sadiq, O.A. Bankole, L.C. Izu, E.N. Lamiri, D.F. Matthew, R.M. Shammah, I.A. Shettima, I. Abbas, I.E. Ake, S.A. Akinwande, I.M. Albara, C.E. Atebi, S.J. Bura and U.S.A. Chugali.
The promotions also saw the elevation to the rank of Commodore of Captains O.K. Oluwagbire, E.O. Ferreira, M.B. Hassan, A.A. Ibok, B. Mohammed, J.A. Nwagu, M.G. Oamen, H.D. Zakaria, M.C. Diri-Onyenma, B. Iyalla, J.O. Okosun and A.A.O. Orederu.
The 19 Commanders newly promoted to the rank of Captain are T.T. Mohammed, O.A. Akinbami, H.J. Aruomaren, C.A. Isah, A.O. Ojebode, B.O. Onalo, A. Oride, M.B. Salisu, B.M. Sule, A.A. Umar, A.A. Zubairu, Z.S. Zuleiman, I.G. Ikonne, S.I. Mohammed, C.A. Obika, O.A. Oshatunberu, K.C. Ozokoye, J.K. Adediji and U.B. Bugaje.
