The president of Nigeria Association of Tour Operators (NATOP), Hajia Billy Abdul, has embarked on intensive networking of members for its maiden official pilgrimage to Ile–Ife and a special visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba  Enitan Ogunwusi.

NATOP members are being expected in the Royal Court Yard of the Ooni of Ife for a three–day sociocultural-tourism tour on Saturday, March 15 to 17,  2019, an event – which will pave the way to the holding of its Annual General Meeting at the Ife–Grand Resort and Leisure.

A source close to Hajia Abdul disclosed: “The vibrant young lady president of NATOP is not leaving any stone unturned at ensuring that almost all members of our association join and become active participants at the graceful journey to visit Ile–Ife and have the royal blessing of the bright king of Yoruba, the divine ruler of the source who is not only a king with the Midas touch but whose aura oozes prosperity and peace.”

The source disclosed that “Hajia Abdul in her consultative and all-inclusive style of administration, has informed and carried along all members of NATOP Board of Trustees, executive members and all stakeholders about the great visit to Ife.”

The source pointed out: “You know NATOP is the engine room of tourism.  Without NATOP members, tourism business is defective for we are the set of trained professionals who ensure that customers consummate to the optimum their tourism adventure.  The effectiveness of NATOP is the health of the tourism business in any country. This is why Hajia Abdul and members of NATOP are spreading the gospel according to Nigerian tourism beyond the confines and geography of Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Jos. “

NATOP according to the source, “Is the only authentic association recognised globally for the tour conducting, packaging and enlightenment hence it is going to be the first Nigeria and national tourism association that will be holding its AGM in Ile–Ife. And to bless it all, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi has promised to host NATOP for its AGM.”

The source revealed that “NATOP believes that the March 15 visit is not just for ceremony alone but what we have tagged “A pilgrimage to the Source of Yoruba.” Thus, the association is crossing all the t’s’ and dotting all the I’s ‘at making the pilgrimage to Ile Ife an awesome   adventure.
