National Assembly leaders have lost their conscience —Banky W

As more Nigerians continued their condemnation of the proposed N37 billion earmarked for the renovation of the National Assembly, Nigerian singer and politician, Banky W, has described the plan as insensitive.

Banky W, who lost his bid for the House of Representatives this year, has never hidden his displeasure with some of the policies of the government as it affects the common man.

On Thursday, he took to his Twitter handle to condemn plans to renovate both chambers with  N37 billion, saying it was sad that at a time when education and healthcare are in a state of emergency, the leadership of National Assembly was thinking of renovating their office building.

According to the singer, who is planning a big come back into the music industry in 2020, the leaders in National Assembly have no conscience, describing the plan as sickening.

“Our leaders in the National Assembly have no conscience. At a time like this when education and healthcare in Nigeria are in a state of emergency, they earmarked N37 billion to renovate their office building. Shame on us for letting them get away with it. This is sick,” he said.
