This is an annual event where secondary school students between the ages of 16 and 19 across the country showcase their knowledge and skills in Geography education.
The National Geography Olympiad is a pre-qualification exercise for the International Geography Olympiad (iGeo).
Winners in today’s competition will represent Nigeria at the 16th International Geography Olympiad in Hong Kong, China from July 30 to August 5, 2019. The very best from all over the world will be chosen from thousands of students who participate in the International Geography Olympiads.
Prequalified students from schools that had participated in the Regional Geography Olympiad will contest at the National Geography Olympiad at the University of Ibadan by 10.00 am.
