Nathaniel Bassey prophesied that we will have twins — JJC, Funke Akindele’s husband

Pop rapper, video director and husband of Nollywood star actress, Abdul Rasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz has said that his social media posts about his wife’s (Funke Akindele’s) pregnancy of twin babies was inspired by the prophesy of  gospel singer and initiator of the recently-concluded Hallelujah Challenge, Nathaniel Bassey.

He said in a recent interview that the singer had prophesied that they will have twins.

“Nathaniel Bassey came online and he had the prophecy, so I just tapped into it.

“If you look at my tweets, you would see what I said that I heard this news where he gave a big testimony. He gathered people around to pray for my wife and he said that he had a vision that she would have twins and that he will be invited to the naming ceremony next year. I received the good news and I pray it comes to pass,” he said.

In his attempt to give credence to the prophesy, the Kano State-born said he came from a family where twin births were not uncommon, stating that they will be expecting their first set of twins next year.

“My elder sisters are twins, so it runs in the family,” he said. “Expect our beautiful twins.”

It will be recalled that Funke Akindele was a voluble defender and participant of the “Olowogbogboro” movement. While many participating celebrities were silent about the criticisms that attended the one month Instagram live praise and worship initiative, Funke Akindele was very outspoken about its many positive sides.

And while expecting their babies, the couple recently added a new project dubbed “Industreet” to the ongoing TV series, Jenifa’s Dairy.

“Industreet was an idea I came up with about nine years ago and after we worked on Jenifa’s Dairy for a long time, we decided that we needed to do something different. I showed her the pilot for the television show and she fell in love with the idea and we started writing the scripts,” he said.

And speaking about working together, JJC who is himself a video director said, “It is amazing working with my wife on the Industreet series because she is an amazing producer as well as a wonderful script writer.

“While we were shooting, we disagreed to agree but my wife has a wealth of experience, so I gain from that. If we both decided to do things that did not align, we had to come to a middle ground. We are both passionate about the project, so it was easier to come to a compromise.”
