NASS postpones resumption

MANAGEMENT of the National Assembly has announced a one-week postponement of the resumption of the Senate and House of Representatives.

A statement by the clerk to the National Assembly, Mohammed Sani Omolori, confirmed on Monday that the resumption, originally fixed for September 12,  had now been shifted to September 20.

“This is to inform all disringuished Senators and Honourable members of rhe National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that the resumption date of both Houses in plenary has been rescheduled from Tuesday, September 13, 2016 to Tuesday, September 20, 2016.

“All distinguished Senators and Honourable members are, by this notice, requested to resume sitting in plenary on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 by 10.00 a.m. prompt, please,” the statement read.
