NASFAT to inaugurate new National Executive Council Feb. 4

THE Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) will on Sunday, February 4, inaugurate a new set of executive council members that will be at the helm of affairs of the organisation for the next two years.

A statement signed by the Chairman, Transition Media and Publicity Subcommittee, Kemi Lawal, said the new leadership of the NASFAT emerged after the shurah committee led by Mr Tajudeen Adio carried out a screening and selection of “highly experienced leaders” of the Society.

The statement said: “The new President of the Society, as approved following the Shurah Committee’s report, is Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Ayodeji Waidi. He will be taking over from Alhaji Mumin Olaniyi Yusuf as the eighth President of NASFAT.

“Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Ayodeji Abdul Waidi is a graduate of Physics from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, with two Masters degrees in Business Administration and Public Management.

“He is a former Secretary of Yaba Local Government, a chartered stock broker and a guru in the capital market. He is currently the founder and Chief Executive Officer of ThinkStartup Beyond Borders Inc, a management consultancy company.

“He is a committed Muslim and member of NASFAT who served the Society with his heart, might and resources bestowed on him by Allah (SWT). This is evident in his services in various committees/positions of the Society. He served on the board of TAFSAN Investments Limited (a subsidiary of NASFAT) and was the Business Secretary for four years, Vice President II and most recently, the Vice President I in the outgoing National Executive Council of the Society.

“He has thus served the Society for 12 unbroken years in various positions. He is bringing to the position over 30 years in management and leadership training, financial and capital market experience.”

Other members of the executive council include Olawuyi Kamal Bolaji (Vice President I), Ajiroba Maroof Adedokun (Vice President II) and Olayemi Fatai Adewunmi (General Secretary).

According to the statement, the new National Executive Council will be inaugurated on Sunday, February 4, at NASFAT Islamic Centre, Aseese, Ogun State, at 9:00 a.m.
