THE youth wing of the Islamic organisation, Nasrul-lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Oyo Zone, has conferred an award on a member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Honourable Shina Peller.

The presentation of the award was made last week during the 15th annual Youth Week of the Oyo zone of the prayer group, held at Iseyin District Grammar School (IDGS), Iseyin.

While presenting the award to Hon. Peller, the zonal chairman of NASFAT, Alhaji Mumeen Azeez, said the honour was in recognition of the legislator’s contributions to the growth of Islam and his service to humanity.

“Our dear Hon. Taoheed Shina Peller, we are not ignorant of your outstanding humanitarian activities, contributions towards the propagation of Islam and development of our society. We appreciate you. It is on this note that I present to you this award in recognition of your outstanding contributions, unflinching support and continued effort towards the propagation of Al-Islam and service to humanity.

“We pray that Allah continues to guard and guide you aright, especially now that you are a politician. Trials may come from different angles but, please, don’t despair. Don’t be discouraged from being better in good deeds. Stay strong and have faith in God. Insha Allah, you will always conquer,” Alhaji Azeez said.

In the same vein, the Oyo NASFAT zonal secretary, Alhaji Babatunde Wasiu, directed the chairman of NASFAT, Iseyin branch, to issue a membership identification card to the honoree, while online membership registration was done for him on the spot.

In his response, Peller thanked the organisers of the event for considering him worthy of the award and assured them of his support always.

He used the opportunity to implore NASFAT youth to be advocates of religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and agents of positive change for Nigeria.
