The Nasarawa State Government Fertilizer Blending Plant in Lafia, has commenced operation with the production of 100 tonnes of fertiliser per hour in preparation of 2019 farming season.
While inspecting the plant on Makurdi road, Governor of the state, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, said the move was borne out of the urgent need to ensure food sufficiency.

“The drive was in line with the Presidential Fertiliser Initiative of ensuring that Nigeria produces fertiliser needed by farmers in the country,” he added.
