Nasarawa: Corps member dies in auto crash six days to wedding

A serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Esla Adams, has tragically died in a motor accident just six days before his wedding introduction.

The accident occurred on Monday morning, May 20, 2024, along the Akwanga-Lafia expressway. Esla, who hailed from Akwanga, Nasarawa State, was preparing for his marriage introduction scheduled for May 26, 2024.

Esla was a graduate of the University of Jos, Plateau State. He was well-known for his skills in metal fabrication and welding, with a workshop located on Keffi road, Akwanga.

According to a statement from his family, Esla will be buried on Friday, May 24th. The funeral service will take place at the ERCC ‘Bethel Land’ in Angwan Kpandom, Akwanga, Nasarawa State.

The burial proceedings will begin on Thursday, May 23rd, with a wake and a candlelight procession from Lafia road to the White House in the Angwan Attah area of Akwanga. Sympathizers are requested to wear black attire for the candlelight procession, which will start at 5:30 pm.
