Name calling, bants as Israel DMW, wife end one year marriage

Social media users have expressed varying reactions to the marriage crash of Davido’s aide, Israel DMW, and his wife, Sheila Courage.

Tribune Online reports that Israel, Davido’s logistics manager, confirmed on Saturday that his one-year marriage to his wife has ended.

In a statement released on his verified Instagram account, Israel accused his wife of belittling him for his loyalty to Davido.

He wrote in part, “She now wakes up one day and tells me that I derive dignity in begging oga (Davido) and that I’m a slave who is disgracing her on social media.”

The development has divided social media users. Some support Israel, asserting that there is nothing wrong with being loyal to one’s boss, while others side with his wife, saying that she simply wants him to establish an independent business.

Standing with Israel via a post on X, a user @Sports_Doctor2 tweeted, “My Oga My Oga” is what 9-6 people do every freaking day of their life until they become their boss that’s if they ever do!!! Davido on the other hand is one of the best bosses anyone can have because he treats him well. And finally, it’s an HONEST & LEGAL JOB!!!!”

Another user, @alamugu wrote, “So all the women married to civil servants, police, teachers etc should quit their marriages? After all those men are going to be doing “my Oga my Oga” till death do us part.”

That man is his logistics manager. He chose to hype his Oga alongside, e dey work for am. He is earning money! Why is it a problem? 9-5 people are calling their bosses Sir and Ma, I can bet 80% are not earning as much as him. @UwaAjayi opined.

@brodamike07 tweeted, “Some people that you think have a good career are also doing ‘corporate my Oga Oga’ to make a good income. The only difference is that they don’t post it online, or work for a popular celebrity.”

“Davido missed out on over ₦100M just to attend Israel’s wedding, and that was after giving him several millions as a gift. Israel cherishing that relationship and going above and beyond to maintain it is what you people have a problem with. Ok o.”@Deshismalls tweeted.

In a contrary opinion, @Mild_kerr who condemned Israel’s acts towards his boss wrote, “But is it “ my Oga my Oga” he wants to do till old age? No woman will want that for her husband and kids though.”

Supporting her stand, @Oluwabusayo_wrote, “According to her, she never tried to filter Israel’s relationship with davido but she only told Israel to find something that is worthwhile to do.”

“I don’t know the whole story tho, but I think she’s not totally wrong in pointing him in the direction of finding himself and building something that is not ‘rolling’ on the floor daily for another man. No woman would love her man to grovel for another man for a living.

He would have listened and focused more on the ‘Logistics Manager’ side of his job. Secondly, Davido shouldn’t have allowed that act to continue after he got married.” @realokeanya opined.
