THE Naira, on Tuesday, weakened to N1,825 to the dollar, shading N95 from the N1,730/$1 it exchanged on Monday at the unofficial (parallel) market, according to Bureau De Change sources.
At the official foreign exchange market, the local currency gained N46.76 to close at N1,551.24 to the dollar from N1,598.54/$1 on Monday, data obtained from the FMDQ showed.
In the same way, the local currency tumbled to N2,210 to the British Pound Sterling (GBP) on Tuesday, compared to Monday’s close of N2,100/£1 while it settled at N1,250 to the Canadian Dollar (CAD), the same as Monday’s rate.
