NAHCO Managing Director resigns

THE Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company plc (nahco aviance), Mr. Norbert Bielderman has finally tendered his resignation letter.

This is just as the board of the company has swiftly announced the appointment of Mrs Folashade Ode as the new Acting MD/CEO of the company.

Bielderman, who gave three months’ notice yesterday, said he would formally disengage from the Company on 31st August, 2017.

According to information gathered, the NAHCO Boss must have been consumed by the infighting that has erupted in the handling company following allegations of financial misappropriation which has been rocking the company since last year.

Prior to his final resignation, the board of the handling company had hitherto mounted pressure on Bielderman to resign from his position following his alleged involvement in some controversial issues.

His decision to finally throw in the towel must have been taken after a crucial board meeting held Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 where he was given the final honour to resign.

Other changes announced after the board meeting include the retirement of Dr Faruk Umar, the director representing minority shareholders on the Board from the Board and his replacement by Sir Sunny Nwosu.

However, a statement from the Company yesterday only announced the resignation of the outgoing Managing Director without stating the actual reason for the decision.
