THE eighth da’wah retreat of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO), Southern Zone, begins today in Akure, Ondo State. The event is scheduled to last three days.
A statement signed by the chairman of the zonal organising committee of the retreat, Alhaj Mas’ud Akintola, gave the theme of the retreat as ‘Our World: Between Mundane Facade and Divine Succour’.
The Executive Director of the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), Professor Ishaq Akintola, will present the lead paper. Other guest speakers are the Commandant, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Ondo State command, Mr Taiwo Adegboyega and Shaykh Moshood Raji of the Education Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
According to the statement, delegates will be attending from all the states in the southern part of the country while the governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, will declare the retreat open.
