THE 10th Da’wah Retreat of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO), Southern Zone, begins today in Ibadan, Oyo State.
A statement signed by the National Secretary General of the organisation, Alhaj Mas’ud Akintola and the Oyo State coordinator, Alhaji Daud Afolabi, said the retreat is scheduled to end on Sunday.
According to the statement, Professor Abdul Ganiy Raji of the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, University of Ibadan, will be the keynote speaker and he will be speaking on the theme of the retreat, ‘The Human Mind: Between Mundane and Spiritual Felicity: Youth on Call’.
Other speakers expected at the three-day event, which will be chaired by a former Managing Director of First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, Dr. Kazeem Sola Adeduntan, are Dr Dawood Amoo Alaga and Al-Mudeer Amubikahun Ajiginni.

The deputy governor of Oyo State, Chief AbdurRaheem Bayo Lawal, will be the special guest of honour while prayers will be offered by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul Ganiy Abubakri Agbotomokekere.
Delegates are expected from across the 17 states of southern Nigeria.
