The court said Tawa intentionally stayed away from court after being served court hearing twice.

“My lord, my life is no more safe living with my wife. She lost the confidence and trust I had in her when I discovered she is involved in extramarital affair.

“She has no regard for me and fully engaged in immoral act right under my nose.

“My wife would open the gate around 11.00 p.m. and sneak out of the house to spend the night with her lovers. She would return home around 6:00 a.m. next day and pretend as if nothing had happened.

“I showed my displeasure against this, but rather than change she got worse.

“My lord, she would leave home late in the night for her lover’s place and from there leave for her shop the following morning. As a result, we set eyes on each other only in the evenings, “he said.

“We fought almost every day because of her shameless behaviour while she never showed any remorse.

He added: “We made our first appearance in court in February and the case was adjourned till March 12. I travelled to Abuja for a seminar before this date which made the case to be adjourned till April.

“My lord, before I returned from Abuja, my wife had packed out of my house and stole m-y essential documents such as academic credentials, employment documents and promotion documents.

“Other documents Tawa stole are; three international passports, building documents such as Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), building plan and land agreement.

“I made a report at the police station and after going through the normal procedure, I was issued a police extract. (He presented this to the court.)

“My lord, all I pray this honourable court is to separate us today.

Giving his judgment after listening to the plaintiff and considering the fact that the defendant didn’t appear in court which, according to him was an indication she was no more interested in their marriage, the court president, Chief Ademola Odunade dissolved their union. He ordered that a copy of the judgment be served her.

Odunade also ordered the defendant to return all she stole from her husband.
