As the Nigeria film and content industry continues to grow in leaps and bounds, one of the success stories of the industry, Felix Olojede, has said content creation and production are yet to reach their full potential.
Having been in the industry through many years, passing through various fields and departments, Olojede, who has served professionally as a core member of a number of film productions, stated that passion must come first for anyone who wants to create a lasting legacy in the industry.
Speaking with R on his career and contributions to the industry in the last five years, Olojede said he has been on a series of local and international projects like the Grammy Award-winning musical video; Beyoncé ft Wiz kid: Black is king; among others, that are topping charts across the continent.
“Being a creative person has afforded me the opportunity to picture life in an interesting way. It has given me access to use my knowledge and experience to tell every story in a unique manner and has in fact, left in me the zeal to acquire more knowledge in arts and creativity; and being on many successful projects such as Rema’s “Calm Down” music video that is now a Guinness world record for the first ever No one hit on the official Mena chart makes me want to keep going everyday,” he said.
He described his recent project participation as another eye-opener, saying: “The just-premiered movie entitled I hate it here by renowned director; Dammy Twitch, was a big task.
“This is coming as my busiest year in filmmaking, working simultaneously on music, films and TV commercials within the last six months.”
Olojede, who began his journey in TV production on a popular reality TV show called ‘The Net Movie Star’ after which he joined Apreel Media Ventures in 2006 as a Sound Recordist on two of its popular TV series ‘Dear Mother’ and ‘Spider’ attended the Whistling Wood Film and Media School in Mumbai, India for a certificate course in Cinematography in 2015.
