A businesswoman, Nancy Ngiwe has told a Customary Court in Nyanya, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), that her husband, Ozor was violent and hit her with hammer.
She added that he doubts the paternity of their son.
The petitioner made the allegations in a divorce petition she filed against her estrange husband before the court.
“My husband is a violent man. He is short tempered and throws dangerous objects at me.
“He hits me with hammer. I have been going through hell. It is even severe now than when we were newly married.
“Now, he beats me in the presence of our children with whatever he can lay his hands on.
The petitioner also told the court that her husband doubts the paternity of their son.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), she further told the court that her husband locks the store where foodstuffs are kept.
“I pray the court to dissolve our marriage,” she said.
Responding, Ozor, denied the allegation.
The presiding judge, Doocivir Yawe, adjourned the case till February 20.
