‘My husband cares less about my feeling, denies me sex’

Published by

A businesswoman, Mrs Joy Abu, has dragged her husband, Daniel, before a Customary Court in Nyanya, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, for allegedly denying her conjugal rights.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Joy accused her husband of being irresponsible, stating that he does not care about her and their children.

“My husband denies me my conjugal right. He doesn’t care about my feelings and does not know that marriage is not only about food.

“A responsible man will cater also for the emotional need of his wife,” she said.

The petitioner told the court that her husband doesn’t provide for the family, adding that he abandoned them for a year.

She prayed the court to grant her divorce, the custody of their children and also compel her husband to pay N100,000 every month for their children’s upkeep.

Daniel, who was present in court, denied all the allegations.

The presiding judge, Labaran Gusau, however, adjourned the case till March 30.
