“My dad is on vacation”, Femi Akinruntan dispels Olugbo’s death rumour

Femi Akinruntan, the son of Oba Frederick Obateru Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom, has debunked rumours circulating about his father’s demise. In a firm statement, he reassured the public that the revered monarch is very much alive and simply on vacation.

Amid swirling speculations and unverified reports suggesting otherwise, Femi Akinruntan dismissed the claims as untrue and misleading.

The Managing Director at Obat Petroleum emphasised that his father is currently taking a well-deserved rest and will resume his royal duties soon.

“People should stop spreading false information. Kabiyesi is well and enjoying his vacation. There is no cause for alarm,” he stated.

The Olugbo of Ugbo, known for his influence in traditional and business circles, remains an important figure in Yoruba land.

His absence may have sparked concerns, but his family insists the monarch is much alive and well.

With this clarification, well-wishers and followers of the royal family can rest easy, knowing that the story is nothing but a figment of some people’s imagination.
