Muyiwa Ademola, Allwell Ademola, others on set of Biola Olaseeni’s ‘Cold Hearted’

The year 2020 appears to be an action-filled year for Nollywood movie lovers as actress and movie producer, Biola Olaseeni Obimodede is also set to entertain her fans with the production of her sixth movie in six years, entitled ‘Cold Hearted’, which is slated for release before the first quarter of next year.

The movie is a star-studded one as it features star actors and actresses like Muyiwa Ademola, Allwell Ademola, Biola Adebayo (Eyin Oka), Peter Ijagbemi, Femi Obimodede among others. Shot in the city of Abeokuta, written and directed by an award-winning scriptwriter, Allwell Ademola.

Cold Hearted is the story of a couple facing some challenges based on their disabled child. They used to love each other, but being faced with the challenges of nurturing a disabled child and the affronts that come with it made them understand that love is beyond what they see or say.

Speaking with Tribune Online at one of the locations of the movie, Muyiwa Ademola who played the lead character in the movie said: “It is a movie that will touch people’s life. The role I played in the movie is a role I have never played in my entire life. It is a role I was a bit sceptical about taking because the society might actually take it somehow because it is a sensitive issue but as an actor, you must play any role given to you. At the same time, for me in as much as the role passes a message across to the society, then I am ready to take it. So it is a role people will be like wow, Muyiwa you should not have done this.”

He described Biola Olaseeni as an unusual and a very hardworking lady: “She is not like an everyday producer; she takes her time, she tries to put in her best in everything she does. She tries to make her movie as natural as possible, because most movie now contain a lot of exaggeration and you keep asking yourself, is this the way you react to situations like this naturally, then you say, it is all acting. But this school of thought says acting is all about not acting. It is when people feel like this is real, and you are acting, that is it. So people should expect a very fantastic movie and should look forward to its release.”

Allwell Ademola who doubled as the director also described the producer as a goal-getter who knows what she wants. According to her, ‘Cold Hearted’ is a movie the viewers will enjoy watching as it is educative, hilarious, intriguing and has a story with a social message.

The production manager and husband to Biola Olaseeni, Femi Obimodede, who also features in the movie, said the movie will be coming out big next year as it is full of suspense and educative. He, however, urged the viewers to look forward to watching it.
