When and how did you start music?

I started music at the tender age of 5, I used to compose poems and nursery rhymes back then. I later produced an album, titled Lizzy’s Nursery Rhymes, which is a compilation of nursery rhymes. I also produced another album when I was eight, titled Victory Dance. And at the age of nine, I released the video to the album. Later when I went to London, I did another album titled London Praises.  Just last year, I released my latest album titled Davidic Dance.

What inspired you to venture into Music?

I see music as part of my existence in life because it is something I have grown up to have passion for.  I see it as my hobby and on the other hand, I would say that my mum inspired me to go into music because she used to be a singer as well. Growing up seeing my mum sings spurred my interest in singing too.

How has been your musical journey?

God has been faithful to me since I started this career and I thank my parents for being supportive towards my goal of becoming Nigeria’s number one gospel musician. I sing majorly to praise and as well as win souls for Christ. I’m always happy when I sing and people get inspired to serve and worship God. I’m determined to win more souls for Christ with my musical talent.

Have you ever had any challenges, especially combining your education with music?

When I first started, I used to have stage fright but I have since grown pass this and I no longer see it as a big deal. Combining my education with music has never been a problem to me because music is just what I see as a hobby, it makes it easier for me to sing and as well face my studies. I’m in SS 3 now and by the special grace of God, I will soon be admitted into the University of Ibadan, to study my dream course, Anthropology and music won’t be an hindrance to my University education just as it has never been.  My major engagements are always during the holidays. For instance, my last trip to London was during the summer. My parents are also well educated and they know the value of education, so they will also never allow music to disturb my education.

Who are your role models?

First, my mum, then, Evangelist Tope Alabi, and Yinka Ayefele, to mention a few. These are people that have in one way or the other supported my career and they always ready to offer me professional advice. I have been able to learn a lot of things from them. However, I still want to gain more experience from these great gospel ministers.

What advice do you have for other children out there?

I will encourage them to discover their talents and when they find it, they should nurture it. They should always remember that God is there for them. They should listen to their parents and be good children, because regardless of the fame, I am still like every child.
