As Lagos standstills for OLIC 4 today, a concert that has now become the face of the city as many music stars are always looking up to the day, Olamide, who spoke with R, described the feeling as “inexplicable and tocuhing” even as he added that music has finally taken his shame away.
The show, which comes up at the Teslim Balogun stadium, will parade some of Nigeria’s best music stars as Reminince, Vector, Lil Kesh, Yemi Alade, Terry G, Ycee among others.
Speaking ahead of the event that has the full support of the Lagos State government, Olamide said hosting the fourth successive OLIC reminds him of his early days in the music industry when all he had was his talent, adding that “I have never doubted my talent even though I knew it was not going to be easy,” he stressed.
According to him, “God has used music to change my story. Staging one of the biggest concerts in Nigeria is a fact that God is with me on this music journey. I can boldly say that music has changed my life and chnaged my shame to glory”.
Also expected to perform at the event are Phyno, Sound SUltan, Tiwa Savage, Skuki Sexy Steel, and Skales.
