Music, best way to worship God —Former ICPC boss

Published by

A former chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Justice Olayinka Ayoola (retd), has charged Christians, irrespective of their status, to always praise God, noting that the best way to do this was through music.

He gave the charge at the second edition of the Temidire Camp Worship Experience, at the Temidire Camp Resort, Ibadan, and attended by dignitaries from all over the country.

Clerics at the event included Pastor Biodun Ojedeji from Port Harcourt; Pastor Bode Daniel; Pastor Newton Isiramen; Pastor Lanre Akinloye, and Pastor Bayo Akinduko.

Justice Ayoola, who said it was important for Christians to fast and pray, maintained that by worshipping God through music, Christians bring themselves closer to God.

He said: “This is the second edition of the Temidire Camp Worship Experience and the purpose is to worship God through praise. There is no doubt that music is nothing but a healing balm; it will then not be out of place to say that the best way to experience God is through music.

In his sermon, Pastor Bode Daniel, highlighted the benefits of worshipping God to include spiritual, physical and financial healing.

Programme coordinator of the event, Pastor Emmanuel Akinrinde, stated that the worship experience was one that all those present would cherish for life.

For close to four hours during which the event lasted, the New Covenant Choir, Onireke, Ibadan, led by Yemi Oyeleke and Fehintola Akinduko, kept everyone on their feet giving praises to God.
