Budding music star and one of Nigeria’s most talked-about singers, Okoroafor Chinedu Augustine otherwise known as Yung Quavo has hinted about plans to use his music to correct social ills in the society and thrill music fans with his talent.
With back to back hit songs to his credit, including For You, Tap and his latest jam, Sweet Love, which featured Jamopyper, the Afrobeat singer expressed his readiness to partner with other music stars of like minds to bring about change in the attitude of young people to life.
Speaking about the challenges of speaking truth to power with his songs, Yung Quavo disclosed that making songs that people can dance and relate with is one thing, using same song to channel the right attitude towards nation building is one thing he doesn’t joke with.
Music, according to Yung Quavo is meant to shape the minds of listeners and entertain them, adding that while he has been committed to making quality music, he would also not deny his fans dance hall and party-rocking songs.
“I am excited about my music and how things are playing out for me. I have a couple of beautiful songs out there and I am raking in good number of streams across platforms but music is beyond that for me. It is magical. It is something that should help people change for good. This is part of what I am committed to and I am looking forward to having great moments,” he added.
