MTN’s ‘Go M.A.D’ train stops in Abuja, hosts creative community

Abuja came alive over the weekend as MTN Nigeria brought its Go Make A Difference (Go M.A.D.) message to the capital city, inspiring residents to take bold steps towards meaningful change. The event, which took place at Papiee’s Meatro on Friday, February 7, brought together young changemakers, spoken word artists, creatives, and everyday Nigerians eager to use their voices to spark transformation. The activation, which is part of MTN’s nationwide movement, encouraged individuals to harness their skills, passions, and digital tools to create impact in their communities.

From interactive sessions to thought-provoking discussions, the Abuja activation provided a platform for changemakers, entrepreneurs, and Nigerians from different facets to share their experiences and ideas on how to make a difference. Attendees participated in brand engagements and education sessions, kahoot games sessions, open mic night with Abuja’s finest Influencers and Creatives, and networking opportunities, all designed to foster growth and action.

One of the highlights was a community-driven impact showcase, where individuals shared success stories of transformation, proving that small, consistent efforts can lead to lasting change. Speaking on the initiative, Ohwofasa Obazenu, Senior Manager Sales and Trade Development North, MTN Nigeria, emphasized the campaign’s vision: “Go M.A.D. is a movement that empowers Nigerians to act. Whether in business, education, or social impact, we want people to know that their bold steps can create a ripple effect of change.”

MTN’s Go M.A.D. campaign is powered by the belief that connectivity and digital resources can help accelerate change. With MTN data and digital solutions, participants were encouraged to leverage online platforms to amplify their ideas, reach wider audiences, and make an even bigger impact.

As the campaign continues its journey across Nigeria, the Abuja activation served as a powerful reminder that change starts with one person, one idea, and one bold move—and with the right support, anything is possible.
