MSSN, BEEMC, UNIFEMGA inaugurate new officers

DR Taofeeq Yekinni has been sworn in as the new Amir (President) of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN).

His inauguration as the successor of Malam Muhammad Jameel was performed at the maiden edition of the national quiz competition and 45th transitional conference of the organisation held recently at the National Mosque, Abuja.

Brother Tajudeen Mustapha, the National General Secretary of MSSN, was also sworn in alongside others to steer the ship of the society for another three years.

Also, the duo of Bodija Estates and Environs Muslim Community, (BEEMC), Ibadan and the Abuja chapter of the Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates Association (UNIFEMGA) appointed new leaders to oversee them.

At its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Islamic Centre, Housing, Bodija, Ibadan, BEEMC inaugurated, among other officers, Alhaji Murisiq Siyanbade (Chairman), Alhaj S. A. Raji (Vice Chairman), Alhaja H. A. Phillips-Olawore (Secretary), Alhaja Nurat Adekunle (Assistant Secretary) and Alhaja Fawziyya Tejumola (Treasurer) to henceforth pilot its affairs.

In the same vein, UNIFEMGA, Abuja chapter, appointed new officers to run its affairs for the next two years.

The appointees are AbdulKabir Yusuf, Chairman; Sulayman Muhammed, First Vice Chairman; Yusuf Oriyomi, Second Vice Chairman; Ahmed Atere, General Secretary; Yahya Adepoju, Assistant Secretary; Ibraheem Fagbenro, Public Relations Officer; Saheed Falola, Assistant Public Relations Officer and Abdur-Rasheed Mushefiu, Financial Secretary.

The others are Oyekanmi Muideen Olalekan, Treasurer; AbdulFattah Bello and Saheed Salahudeen, Dawah Coordinator and Assistant Dawah Coordinator; Tajudeen Lawal, Welfare Officer and Bushrah Oseni, Assistant Welfare Officer. Abdul Ghaniyy Oladokun is ex-officio.

In his acceptance speech, Yusuf thanked the other members for the confidence reposed in him and asked for their support in moving the association forward.
