The wife of the Lagos State governor, Mrs Bolanle Ambode, has commended the efforts of the leader, actress and producer, Fisayo Ajisola and members of the Jewel Empowerment Foundation for their large hearts in supporting government to put an end to street hawking, child abuse, violence, sexual assault and other forms of anomalies against children in the society.
Mrs Ambode, represented by the Director, Teachers’ Resource Center of Teachers Establishment and Pensions of Ikeja, Mrs Rhoda Ayinde, at the premiere of the actress’s first film production, an advocacy movie entitled: “Road To Ruin”, which also concided with the five year anniversary of the NGO, charged Nigerians to join forces with the government in bringing sanity into the society as well as protecting the children from unnecessary dangers.
“The government is trying its best to protect lives, especially the younger generations. We should all take it upon ourselves as individuals to stop it in our own little ways because it is not the work of government alone, we all need to join hands to protect our children lives,” she added.
The event, held at NECA building in Lagos, was graced by dignitaries including: Mr Awala Obateru of Independent Radio & Television; Mr Seyi Womiloju, Director, Industrial Culture, Ministry of Culture and Tourism; Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State; Solicitor General Permanent Secretary, Ministry Of Justice, Lagos State, both represented by Mrs Bimbo Fadeyi, among others.
Ajisola, who commended the Lagos State government for the recognition, promised not to deviate from her mission in breeding the younger generation in a rightful and resourceful way.
