ONE of the nation’s manufacturers of mattresses and foam products,  Mouka Limited, has announced the opening of a new Sleep Gallery,  at its corporate office in Lagos, to mark this year’s World Sleep Day (WSD).

The new gallery is an addition to seven others the company had opened across the nation.

Tagged ‘Healthy Sleep, Healthy Aging’ the World Sleep Day is an initiative of the World Sleep Society, designed  to recognize sleep and its significant impact on health, with  a  focus  on issues emanating from sleep problems, as well as the importance of healthy sleep at any age.

Speaking at this  year’s World Sleep Day Press conference, the company’s CEO, Mr. Raymond Murphy described  quality sleep as one of the core pillars of health.

He explained that  when sleep fails, health declines,  with a telling effect on the  quality of life of the individual.

“This explains Mouka’s relentless commitment to providing the best mattresses, pillows and other products to enhance quality sleep,” he stated.

Corroborating Mr. Murphy’s claims, National President of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapists (NSP), Dr Rufai Ahmed stated that sleeping on a wrong mattress will alter the natural curvature of the spine thereby resulting in musculo-skeletal problems and possible injury.

Emphasizing the importance of quality sleep to overall health at any age, the Senior Marketing Manager Mouka Limited, Mrs. Tolu Olanipekun showcased Mouka’s range of products specially designed for different phases of life.

Speaking on the new gallery, the company’s Commercial Director, Mr Dimeji Osingunwa, explained that the new gallery provides consumers the opportunity to experience the company’s  array of products, with the experts helping them choose the right mattress, pillows, beds, beddings and other lifestyle products to suit their physiological needs, style and budget.
