Motherland Beckons enlists 15 Nigerian, 54 African music stars for 2018 AIM Festival

Unrelenting with the euphoria of the glorious success of the first ever African international Music Festival, AIM Festival, held at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria, the chief propeller of Motherland Beckons, Ambassador Wanle Akinboboye has hamstrung his loins for a spectacular and landmark  revalidation  of the 48hour nonstop music vibration event ever held in   Nigeria again.

Addressing a press conference at  the King Sunny Ade International Stage located at the seaside, La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, Ambassador Akinboboye revealed  “The embers of the first ever African International Music Festival held here last year is still smouldering with  its flame spiralling around every nook and cranny of  the continent of Africa, conveying and spreading the message of unity, love, harmony and economic integration via music, songs and exhibition of those things that solidify the entity of our motherland–Africa.”

He stated further “This year’s Africa International Music Festival shall commence at 8 pm on December 7   and closes at 6 pm on  December 9 2018.

“We are emboldened by the fast pace, nay by the many rivers, the mountains, the forests, the hills and gullies, and the plateaus which AIM Festival 2017 has covered to reinvigorate our stimuli of packaging 2018 in a manner that its astounding vibration will boost the global musical mileage in a phenomenal velocity that will affirm the truth that Music is African,” he said.

He assured: “The 2018 AIM Festival has been packaged as cosmopolitan musical carnival genres which will parade over 25 Nigerian musical stars, crooners and groups with 54 music acts from 54 African countries. It will also for the first time feature two guest artistes whose interests in African music is stoked by the vibration of the 2017 AIM as represented by the evibes. I am glad to inform that these two international music acts    will be in Nigeria, not only to participate and perform, but also to learn for infusion purposes.”

Ambassador Akinboboye disclosed that “AIM Festival 2018 is an intergenerational brand which takes care of all facets of musical expectation and cut across legendary musical strides. As it will host legends like King Sunny Ade, Dele Mabiaku, Adekunle Gold, Ara the Thunder Bata lady, Gbedu Master, Kamil Ii, KWI, Paul Play Dairo, Wole Oni, Pasuma Wonder, Lady Ekwe and 54 music acts from 54 African countries.”

“It is going to be a whole gamut of musical entertainment with an admixture of comedy, beach picnic, fashion parade, food festival, eco-adventure, swimming m kayaking, jet ski, fishing, beach soccer and keggite gyration,” Akinboboye disclosed.

Ambassador Akinboboye said “It is a humongous African festival packaged generously for the showcasing of the best music acts in Africa as low as 10 thousands naira which entitles participants the largesse of listening to best of African music, watching best music stars from African countries, dancing to the finest African rhythm of different genre,  gyrating with old and young and upwardly mobile fans, eating authentic African food prepared in their natural form and mode  and have fun in between the Atlantic ocean which is buffet by the Mangrove lagoon fenced by an ecotourism enclave. All having the solidity of Africa in the Tropical ambience.”
