On resumption day, we were given a talk on morals titled ‘Cooperation, concentration, the smart goal.’ I gained that concentration is the first law of success and also being focused or paying attention to something. I have this guide throughout the term that when I concentrate on my academics, I have the key that will open door to accomplishment in my studies this term. We were also given the meaning of smart goal as: S- to be specific; M- to be memorable; A- to be achievable; R- to be relevant; T- to have a time frame. All these I heard, made me eager to begin my academic pursuits for this term in high spirits.

The most interesting thing on our resumption day was the joy of meeting my friends and teachers again. I was happy to be in school again to begin the usual school activities. We kept company with ourselves and had fun.

My resumption day was fun because we did sports throughout the day. I was happy to have new teachers and corps members in the school. Everyone looked radiant. Glory to God that I did not hear of the death of either teacher or student. The JSS 3 examinations are drawing near so preparation has started.

What interested me most on our resumption day was when our English language teacher told us the characteristics of a student. Some of the characteristics are: Punctuality, ready to learn, etc. We were also advised to always take a nap whenever we get back home from school.

The interesting thing about resumption day was that I got to see my friends and we shared how we spent our holidays. We also talked about the positions we took in last term examinations. At the break time, everyone was busy discussing one thing or the other. The resumption day was an interesting one.
