Moses Adebayo soars with Basco

When Moses Adebayo took over the affairs of Basco Nigeria Limited in February 2018 after the demise of his dad, not many people gave him a chance. The young man, however, shrugged off the toga of bereavement occasioned by his dad’s passing and took on the mantle of leadership.

There were fears in certain quarters that the young but dynamic Adebayo, would not do well as the head of the multi-million naira conglomerate.

To some of his critics, it looked like ‘mission impossible’ for him to step into the big shoes of his dad, but for him, it was a risk worth taking.

But for somebody who bagged his first degree in International Trade and Chinese Studies and second degree in Business Administration, where he horned his business acumen and graduated in flying colour, taking bold steps was not entirely new to him.

A years has passed now, the company, which is a leading distributor of Bazuki Bikes, JAC trucks, trailers and Jincheng motorcycles, seems to be taking its rightful place in the auto mobile industry in the country and even beyond.

As it turned out, Adebayo’s creative ingenuity and knowledge of the business has paved way for the company’s remarkable growth in the last one year.

Weeks back, during the company’s customers’ forum, clients from different parts of the country converged on International Conference Centre (ICC) of the University of Ibadan (UI) shared their optimism of the company and reiterated their firm support for the management of the company led by Adebayo.
