Money ritual is destructive, unrealistic ― Oluwo warns Nigerian youths

Published by

Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi on Tuesday remarked that punctuality is the sole of business and warned youths engaging in money ritual making to desist from such for, it leads to destruction.

The monarch who said this while speaking with newsmen after distribution of items to less privileged ones in his community, argued that, poverty could only be tackled through hardwork and dedication.

The royal father decried those usually being found in the act of killing their fellow human beings, all in the name of wanting to be rich to have a rethink on their deadly act before it could be too late for them.

He pointed out that, money ritual is not real and that, “it was introduced to us by the colonial masters. We spent shillings and pounds during their time.”

”So, at what point in our existence did we start engaging in rituals to make money? Youths should be dedicated and work hard. Success will surely come on their ways one day.”

While distributing items like Beans, Spaghetti, Macaroni, Tea and Milk to people in the community for Ramadan period, the royal father equally accompanied the items with cash.

While charging eminent personalities in the society to always come to the aid of the less privileged ones and give back to the society, the monarch explained that,
“the initiative is what I have been doing since I became the king, and there is no religion or political attachment to it.”

“This is a trying time in our country. There is paucity of fund and scarcity of food and as a king, I can’t bear to see my people suffer and that is why I’m giving out food to the aged and the vulnerable.

“Although, people do come to my palace twice in a week to eat, there are some people who can not come to the palace due to their age or disability, that is why I came out to distribute the food items and money.

“I’m doing this without any religious or political bias. I am giving it out to everyone and I feel good about it. It is what I’m happy doing and I will continue doing.

“We are moving to another place tomorrow and next tomorrow till all the food items are exhausted. I’m sowing a seed and I know when you give, you will always get back.

“We are ready to partner with anybody who wants to assist with what we are doing so far it is based on love for the poor”, he submitted.
