The governor appointed and swore in his deputy chief of staff, Princess Risikat Adebukola Babalola; an indigene of Esie, among new commissioners and special advisers in Ilorin at the weekend.
In a statement signed by the traditional ruler of the area, Elesie of Esie, Oba Yakubu Ibrahim Agboola Babalola, the Eegunjobi II, prayed God to continue to guide the governor and grant the state abundant peace.

The monarch, who described the appointment of the deputy chief of staff as a round peg in a round hole, said that Princess Babalola had been a pride due to her contributions to growth and development of the area.
He also pledged support and loyalty of the people of the area to the present administration in the state.
In his charge to the newly inaugurated commissioners and special advisers, the traditional ruler tasked the governor’s aides to live up to people’s expectations and not to betray the confidence reposed in them.
He also urged the new appointees to see their appointment as a call to duty, saying that people’s expectations are high.
“You should see this as a call to duty and opportunity to contribute to the growth of our dear state. Your appointment is a huge investment of trust by the governor and this must never be betrayed”, the statement said.
