Young Volunteers for Environment (YVE) Nigeria, has described Ms. Amina Mohammed’s resumption as the Deputy Secretary General at the United Nations as a round peg in a round hole.
The organisation described her as a leading light on sustainable environmental issues.
The Executive Director, YVE Nigeria, Mr Olawuyi Seyi, through a press statement said “We congratulate Ms. Amina Mohammed on her resumption as the United Nations deputy Secretary General.
“Indeed, we have absolute confidence in her works and we hope that she would continue to be a promoter of sustainable environment and a voice for the voiceless.”
YVE Nigeria is a member of the YVE International, Lome, Togo, a non-governmental organisation working on sustainable environmental issues such as climate change, clean energy, conservation of biodiversity, water and sanitation, among others.
The organisation has 25 chapters across Africa, with the headquarters at Lome, Togo.
