Miyetti Allah directs members to reelect President Buhari, APC candidates

A Fulani Socio-Cultural Association,  Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, North West Zone, has directed its members in the country, especially those in the zone, to come out en masse and reelect President Muhammadu Buhari, to continue to diligently steer the affairs of the country.

This, the association said, was sequel to his tremendous achievements in the areas of agriculture,  security and fight against corruption.

The statement quoted a Communique the association issued at the end of its meeting held in Sokoto.

The communique was jointly signed by the association’s National Secretary,  Engineer Saleh Alhassan and the Chairman,  Communique Drafting Committee,  Alhaji Muhammad Mainagge.

The communique added that the association particularly appreciates the President for approving a new livestock transformation plan, aimed at addressing the challenges facing the sector.

It further appreciates the leadership role being played by Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko in the re-election of President Buhari and victory of All Progressives Congress  ( APC ) and called on all its members to continue with the support of the President.

” The meeting equally resolved to massively support the Gubernatorial Candidate of the APC,  Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto,  his running mate,  Alhaji Faruku Malami Yabo and other candidates of the party,  at all levels.

” This is to rescue Sokoto State from the rudderless leadership of the PDP.  The meeting calls on our members to come out en masse and vote peacefully, as well as ensure that, their votes are counted, by guiding against those that want to rig the elections,”it added.

The statement also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission  ( INEC ), to ensure that, it conducts free and fair elections.

This is to ensure sustainable peace and harmony before and after the general elections, adding,” any attempt to rig the elections and sabotage the will of the electorate would be repelled .”

Meanwhile, no fewer than 15,000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party and other political parties from across Sokoto State on Thursday defected to the APC.

They included the Gubernatorial, National and State Assemblies candidates,  as well as executives of the various political parties from across the state.

The spokesman of the defectors,  Alhaji Mudassiru Abubakar Shehu Tambuwal, said that they joined the APC sequel to the justice and honesty of its leaders, as well as the indelible achievements of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

They pledged to work assiduously to ensure the success of APC Candidates,  at all levels.

The State Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Isa Sadiq Achida and the Chairman of its State Elders Committee, Alhaji Aminu Tambari Tafida, expressed optimism that, the people of the state would massively vote its candidates,  at all levels.

The former Governor of Sokoto state,  Mallam Yahayya Abdulkarim also admonished the electorate in the State to elect APC Candidates,  at all levels,  even as he averred the PDP -led state government has woefully failed.
