Mike Ezuronye’s Brother Jekwu hits 20million in 10 days

Nollywood actor cum producer, Mike Ezuruonye is overjoyed as his debut movie production ‘Brother Jekwu’ which was recently endorsed by England Premiership League, Watford, sells over N20million in 10 days.

The movie which was released in cinemas across Nigeria on Friday, December 2, 2016 is currently the highest selling movie in cinema right now.

“I am super excited at the success of Brother Jekwu. I never knew it will come this far. Nollywood is really taking the entertainment industry to greater heights. I thank God for his favour and direction. I also thank my brothers, Five Star Music Group for their unending support, I am indeed grateful. I encourage everyone to go watch the movie in cinemas as it is still showing nationwide”, said  Ezuruonye.

Meanwhile, last Sunday, Dec 13th, Five star Music Group which include; Limpopo crooner, K-Cee, E-Money, Skiibii, and X-Busta stormed Ikeja City Mall to sell ticket of Brother Jekwu to fans of Mike Ezuruonye who trooped out in enormous numbers to watch the movie.

E-money who is known for his liberality bought over 170 tickets to people present at the cinema to watch the movie. The mall was filled which gave the security guards tough time in controlling the crowd. Lots of other great gifts were also distributed.

‘Brother Jekwu’, directed by Charles Uwagbai stars Mike Ezuruonye, Angela Okorie, Wofaifada, Funny Bone, Nedu, Klint D Drunk, Huddah Monroe, Sabrina Stadler, among others is a comical movie set in Kenya and Nigeria that tells the story of a village man with native intelligence that is lucky to make it to Kenya on the bill of his corrupt cousin where he gets lost in a tale of his adventure while exploring a new land and his encounter with other folks and two beautiful ladies led to the various comical scenes that add a twist to the story.

A staff of a cinema who doesn’t want his name disclosed had this to say, “Brother Jekwu has indeed surprised us. It seems as if we have another ’30 Days in Atlanta’ again. Whenever people come out of the theater after watching the movie they come out smiling and their side comment are always positive. We are really happy with Mike for the success of his movie”.
