Middle-aged woman kills self in Ogun

A middle-aged woman, identified as Victoria Idowu, has reportedly hanged herself on a ceiling fan in her residence in the Magboro area of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun.

Confirming the incident, Omolola Odutola, the State Police Public Relations Officer, said that no suicide note was found at the scene.

She added that law enforcement officers from the Ibafo Division were dispatched to investigate further.

“According to the son, he came back from the church at about 1530 hours and discovered that his mother, one Mrs. Idowu Victoria, ‘F’, aged 49 years of the same address, had committed suicide by hanging herself on the ceiling fan inside her room.

“The DPO immediately drafted men to the scene. No suicide note was found,” the police mouthpiece stated.
