Jude Abaga, one of the brand ambassadors of total telecommunications solutions provider, Globacom, will, this week, feature on the set of popular TV Drama series, Professor Johnbull. The comedy sitcom which is sponsored by Globacom is in its 26th episode.
Popularly known by his stage name, MI, Mr Incredible, Abaga will assume the character of a Nigerian New York City-returnee in the new episode entitled “Speak the word”. He is the star attraction as the lead character, Professor Johnbull makes concerted effort to instil the habit of simple communication principles in the consciousness of viewers of the drama.
‘Speak the word’ is the last episode of season two of the sitcom, which, according to its sponsor, Globacom, “is aptly tagged to underscore the importance of communication and intelligibility in our society,
The company expressed the assurance that “viewers will come to terms with the essence of clear and unambiguous communication as they sit back to watch their darling Professor Johnbull which treats the issue of copy-cat in a more comic and equally didactic manner in ‘Speak the word’. We have no doubt that the episode will resonate with a lot of youths who come back to the country with foreign accent and incomprehensible slangs”.
The episode will seek to unravel the essence of communication and find out if Professor Johnbull himself is guilty of bombastic grandiloquence. In the same vein, the episode will proffer solutions to the incidence of communication breakdown just as it wonders why youths seem to tag along in the use of slangs in their quest for relevance.
Aside from Kanayo O. Kanayo, who plays the lead role of Professor Johnbull, other regular characters including Olaniyi (Yomi Fash-Lanso), Carol (Mercy Johnson-Okojie); Flash (Stephen Odimgbe), Ufoma (Bimbo Akintola), Jumoke (Bidemi Kosoko), Etuk (Imeh Bishop), Mai Doya (Funky Mallam) and Samson acted by the Waffi boy, Ogus Baba will feature prominently in the episode which airs on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on StarTimes at 8.30 p.m. with repeat broadcasts on Friday, same channels at 8.30 p.m.
