Summer 2024 is set to be one for the books, with the highly anticipated Afro Music Festival scheduled to take place from June 25th to June 28th. The festival, a vibrant celebration of Afrobeats, hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, amapiano, Afrohouse, and more, showcases the rich cultural heritage of the African Diaspora through music, fashion, and the arts.
Hosted by Afro Nation, the Afro Music Festival is a signature event that highlights diverse music genres from Africa and beyond. After postponing two consecutive editions, the festival is making a triumphant return this summer.
While the full lineup is still being revealed, some of the biggest names in Afrobeats have already been announced, including Nigerian stars Flavour, Rema, Asake, Omah Lay, Diamond Platnumz, Odumodublvck, Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi, The Compozers, Musa Keys, Focalistic, Young Stunna, and Benin-based Nigerian artist Mezzaya.
These and many other acts will continue to spread the global influence of Afrobeats and amapiano music.
Mezzaya, who is preparing to release a new project by December, sees the festival as an opportunity to showcase his rebranded image. “My objective is to use this festival to create awareness for the new and rebranded me and as a springboard to increase my fan base,” he shared.
The rising artist expressed his excitement about being included in the lineup and promised fans a memorable performance.
Abraham Destiny, known by his stage name Mezzaya, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer based in Benin, Edo State. He is currently signed to Black Dreams Empire, an independent music label with headquarters in Capetown, South Africa.
