Mercy Johnson bounces back

After the shocking demise of her mother three months ago, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, has bounced back in style.

Days back, Mercy marked her birthday and took out time to explain reasons she had been quiet.

The popular actress and mother of three described the last three months experience in her life as terrible as she took to her Instagram page on on Wednesday to share how she pulled through the dark moments of her life.

Mercy was said to have been ravaged by her mother’s death that her husband at a point had to declare he wanted his jovial and lively wife ‘back’.

At a stage, some people feared their marriage had collapsed after the actress purportedly deleted all the pictures of herself and hubby from her Instagram account.

She revealed that she had looked into the year 2018 with high expectations but things turned for the worse, following the sudden death of her mother.

Speaking on how she received the death of her mum, the actress said: “When you look into the coming year, you never planned for the worst. You always expect that life will have a way to make itself better. Sometimes, like this past year has taught me, there are other plans. Life simply happens.”

She added that she never expected to lose her mother so soon and even suddenly, adding that “it happened. No one can truly teach you how to cry with every fibre of your being and when exactly to stop crying.”

With three months down the line, Mercy said she had learnt to cherish memories she shared, the laughs, tears, prayers and victories.

“I have learnt that life happens and sometimes we are powerless to change our circumstances. It has been very terrible in the last three months, but my fans have made me feel better and I thank everyone who took out time to share in my grief,” she added.
