What sparked your interest in music?
Music has always been a thing for me. I use to be the type that would sing all around the place when I was a little child. I used to have an elder brother that managed a studio when I was very little so I was used to music from the onset. It is not surprising that I’m taking it way seriously now. It has always been in my blood.
Who do you see as your music mentors and do you think mentorship is important in entertainment?
Wande coal. Definitely Wande coal because I grew up listening to the album ‘From Mushin to Mo hits’ and yes, I think mentorship is very important in entertainment. It helps you grow and learn the ropes faster.
What kind of music do you do and why?
I’m into Afrobeats/Afropiano. I find this genre very comfortable for my type of sound and the way I pitch my abilities.
You are dropping a new song. Tell us about it.
‘Amen’ is a song that I got to write at the beginning of this year. It talks about how I want live my life and how I really want the stars to align for me. It is a song that contains so many prayers and it also speaks about how far I have come and how far I am going.
