THE Royal Praises Music and Mission International in collaboration with Akobo-Olorunda and environs churches in Oyo State bade 2019 bye with a giveback programme and a gospel music concert tagged: ‘Mega Praise Party.’
The event, which had in attendance dignitaries from all walks of life, clerics and Christians from various denominations was held at the Community High School, Alegongo, Akobo-Ojurin, Ibadan, last Sunday.
Some of the gospel artistes that sang at the concert included Evangelists Yemi David, Yetunde Olayemi, among others.
According to the convener, Pastor Sanmi Bamidele, the programme was designed to gather people from all walks of life to appreciate God as well as put smile on people’s faces.
Bamidele noted that the programme was special as it coincided with the quarterly programme of the initiative which is aimed at bringing people and churches from various denomination to celebrate God.
“Our main goal is to raise hopes and give reasons to people to always praise God. I want to encourage believers that as we approach 2020, we must make impacting lives positively as our priority.
“It is not until we go extreme before we can make people happy, but little act of kindness shown to people goes a long way,” he said.
In his remarks, the Alase of Ilase Ijesa in Osun State, Oba Isiaka Ajarabiolu, described the event as a welcome development and the best way to end the year.
“I want to charge others to take a cue from this programme as it is the only way to appreciate and seek God’s face for a total restoration of the church and the country at large. I am happy to be part of this as it is the best way to usher into the New Year,” he said.
