Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to pursue fashion design
My name is Okonkwo Chika Stephnora, and I am a fashion enthusiast and entrepreneur. I love embracing new adventures and creating stylish, comfortable outfits. Socializing, learning, and spreading positivity are at the core of what I do. I’m always striving to level up my skills, and I’m super passionate about what I do. Fashion design allows me to bring creativity to life, and the idea of transforming fabric into something people wear and feel good in is what inspired me to pursue this career. I’ve been in the business for three years now, and my love for fashion just keeps growing.

How would you define the difference between fashion and style?
I’d describe fashion as the pieces of clothing you wear, while style is how you put them together to express yourself. It’s a mix and match to show your personality. For me, style is more personal—it’s about how you express who you are through the clothes you wear. Fashion is the tool, but style is the statement.
Where do you draw inspiration for your designs?
My inspiration comes from both past and present influences, creating a unique and personal style for every design. Social media is a treasure trove of inspiration for me. I also read a lot of fashion articles and blogs to dive deeper into the industry. These platforms not only inform but spark my creativity, encouraging me to experiment with different looks and push the boundaries of my personal style.
