She also said that the company was expecting an additional 30 trucks before the end of December to enhance operation.

Responding, the National President of NALPGAM, Mr Nosa Ogieva-Okunbor, commended Matrix Energy for the massive investments.

He said that the gesture would boost LPG business in the country.

“It is great that a Nigeria entrepreneur is building such a massive depot of 5000 metric tons. This will help in deepening the LPG usage in the country,” he said.

Ogieva-Okunbor appealed to the federal government to provide the basic assistance to enable the LPG industry grow in the country.

He said that the target of the association was to have one million metric tons soonest.

“Realising One million metric tons is feasible with the coming, on stream, of this 5, 000 metric tons, it will help to widen the LPG industry,” he reiterated.
