Massive crowd as PDP inaugurates caretaker committee in Imo

A new caretaker committee was on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, inaugurated by the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to superintend the affairs of the party in Imo State.

The event, which took place at the party’s State Secretariat on 98 Okigwe Road, Owerri, attracted a large number of leaders and officers from the 27 LGAs of the State.

Inaugurating the committee, the South East Zonal Vice Chairman of the PDP urged them to work assiduously to position the party to reclaim the State.

He said that Imo people from time immemorial have embraced the party, urging the committee to invade the grassroots and make the support base even stronger.

He also charged members of the committee to work with unity and carry everyone along.

Speaking after his swearing-in, the State Chairman, Sir Chidi Dike, pledged to exceed the boundary in making the PDP even more formidable in the State.

He said that the mammoth crowd of the party’s faithful which converged for the inauguration is evidence that the party remains intact, solid, in good hands, and now united for greater results without fear of being sabotaged.
