High level intelligence, extraordinary minds and a complete comprehension of delicate matters are needed in dealing decisively with the hydra-headed problem of insecurity.
First, we need to involve military veterans. They are waiting in their thousands, ready to expose the underbelly of those behind the abductions and shame the saboteurs seeking to drain the blood of our cherished democracy.
Second, declare a state of emergency in areas notorious for mass abductions. Third, restructure Nigeria. Enough of this dog-eat-dog situation that is compromising the future of our children.
Nigeria must make progress. But, will the Federal Government listen?
We need insightful leaders who will take the bull by the horn and discharge their duties diligently without fear or favour.
John R. Jimoh, Mowe,
Ogun State.
