The existing ties between integrated marketing communications professionals in Nigeria and other African countries would be further deepened as Instinct Waves, publishers of the Marketing World Magazine have announced plans to unveil the top 25 marketing professionals in Accra, Ghana, next month.

This will be the first time the company will be holding the annual marketing awards outside the shores of Nigeria.

Speaking with the media on the forthcoming event, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr Akin Naphtal explained that the need to deepen existing bonds in the integrated marketing communications industry around West Africa informed the company’s decision to stage this year’s event outside Nigeria.

“We believe technologies and business realities are fast making the world a global village. Hardly would you not find a multi-national that has its business tentacles in at least two West African countries, and sometimes one  marketing personnel in any of these West African countries also handles the company’s subsidiaries within the neighbourhood. So why not deepen this integration process?” Naphtal argued.

He added that the awards, in its seventh year will feature Marketing360 Summit, a gathering focused at bringing together leaders in the ecosystem to share industry insights across the entire integrated marketing communication sector in Africa.

“The summit will bring together forward-thinking companies, industry elites  across the entire marketing landscape for thought provoking contents and inspiring insights. Industry giants will discuss best practices and the future of marketing with high level executive networking,” he stated.

Naphtal added that the Awards had become imperative, especially at this time, when the continent  needed to celebrate excellence and push for the best trends in the industry.
