THE House of Representatives on Thursday said that March 30 set for passage of 2017 budget is not sacrosanct.
The Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, who dropped the hint while addressing newsmen however said that, “the House is doing all it takes to meet with the deadline”.
According to him, ” 30th of March may not be sacrosanct with the new development “.
He also said that, the shift in gear was as a result of ” new budget software “..
He added that standing committees of the House have been mandated by the Speaker, Hon. Yakubu Dogara to submit their reports to the appropriation committee.
He however declared that, Federal Executive Council, FEC on a weekly basis have been awarding contracts.
